Parking Services Renews Contract with Colonial

At its Nov. 21 meeting, the Board of Visitors approved a two-and-one-half year contract between George Mason’s Parking Services and Colonial Parking, extending the relationship the two have had since 1996. The contract also contains two optional one-year renewals.
According to Ken Bumgarner, associate vice president of University Services, “Colonial Parking was clearly the vendor that understood the university and has the expertise to meet George Mason’s needs.”
In the last year, Colonial has refocused its efforts on improving outreach and customer services, increased support several times through consultation assistance, implemented a web-based decal ordering process, and updated the collection records for parking fines.
