The Provost’s Office invites all George Mason faculty members to come together next Tuesday afternoon to discuss issues related to globalization and international education. In the evening, a reception featuring international fare is held for those participating in the assembly. The program coincides with the nation’s first International Education Week, created recently by President Bill Clinton.
The assembly and reception are designed to recognize the global and international research and education activities at George Mason and to promote discussion about future strategies for the university. For an overview of Mason’s international and global programs, visit www.gmu.edu/global.
The assembly, which begins with an address by Provost Peter Stearns and continues in a town hall format, is held at 4 p.m. in the boardroom of Mason Hall. The reception is held from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. in the Mason Hall Atrium.
