When you’re chatting at your office’s holiday party, you might want to bring up Homecoming 2012 and begin planning how you’re going to participate. Homecoming isn’t just for students and alumni, it’s for faculty and staff as well.

Registration for the office decorating contest is already open. Prizes will be given for Best Team Effort and Best Overall Design. The theme is “This Is Where the Magic Happens.” The deadline for entries is Friday, Jan. 27, and the judging will be done on Monday, Jan. 30.

The Homecoming Committee promises “a bevy of cool prizes.”

To get you in the spirit, the Homecoming Committee invites you to join them for lunch at the Bistro on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. They promise a “dazzling” wheel of prizes, and if you are wearing your Homecoming button, you’ll be entered into a grand prize drawing.

Other event highlights include the Pep Rally kick-off, with special appearances and games, and the 14th Annual Block Party and Tailgate. And of course, the men’s basketball game against Old Dominion is on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m.
