Every week on GMU-TV, four roundtable discussion programs–Mason Currents, Capital Region Roundtable, Time Out, and Tech Horizons–are shown during prime time. GMU-TV is shown on Cox Cable channel 18, Comcast (Reston) channel 18, and Comcast (Alexandria) channels 79 and 95. Following are the topic, host, guests, and programming schedule for each show airing this week:

  • Mason Currents #3–“The All New WGMU!” is hosted by Star Muir, Division of Instructional Improvement and Instructional Technologies. Guests are Rodger Smith, WGMU general manager; Mark Cathell, WGMU program director; and Tim Murphy, WGMU assistant program director. The show airs tonight at 9:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 11:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 8, and Friday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m.
  • Capital Region Roundtable #44–“Territorial Integrity vs. National Self-Determination” is hosted by Toni-Michelle Travis, Public and International Affairs. Guests are Tsegay Wolde-Georgis, head of the press office at the Embassy of Ethiopia, and Harriet Hentges, executive vice president and chief operating officers of the U.S. Institute of Peace in the Balkans. The show airs tonight at 11:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 11, at 9:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m.
  • Time Out #3–“Is the Term ‘Redskins’ Offensive” is hosted by Mike Tapscott, former director of Minority Student Affairs. Guests are Greg Deal, Native American Student coordinator, and students John Allwine, Matt Impellitteri, and Moli Dohogne. The show airs Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 9:30 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tech Horizons #1–“Entrepreneurship” is hosted by Lloyd Griffiths, dean of the School of Information Technology and Engineering (IT&E). Guests are Sharon de Monsabert, IT&E faculty member; Michael Lenyon, chief executive officer and programmer of Quotescape, Inc.; and Tony Carter, chairman of Edge Technologies. Curtis McNay, network administrator in the Division of Instructional Improvement and Information Technologies, moderates a FAQ segment.
