George Mason’s newly established Center for Advanced Study of Law and Dispute Resolution Processes received a significant boost recently in the form of a $100,000 donation from American Airlines, Inc. Calling this donation “an important contribution,” president Alan Merten praised American Airlines for its leadership “in making this key investment to promote effective dispute resolution.”
The center was established this past summer as a collaborative effort among George Mason’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, School of Law, and the National Mediation Board. American Airlines, through its senior vice president of human resources, Sue Oliver, is a founding member of the center’s advisory board.
