SkillPort is a development tool offered through Mason that faculty, staff and students can use when it’s convenient for them. SkillPort is not intended to replace instructor-led training courses, but rather it can supplement traditional methods and provide another opportunity for skill development.
SkillPort can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These courses, which can be completed over any length of time, cover a wide variety of subject matter — from highly technical topics to software application instruction to business skills development — to meet the various training needs of all Mason employees and students. These courses, and associated components, can be used as reference tools to help answer on-the-job questions or as part of personal development.
To use Skillport, log in at gmu.skillport.com. For the username, enter your entire Mason email address; the password is your G number, including the G, which is capitalized. For questions or concerns, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 703-993-3426.
