George Mason senior forward Eduardo Lima has moved into the top 10 among the men’s soccer national leaders in goals and points, according to the NCAA Division I statistics released this week. It is the fourth straight week Lima has been ranked nationally in both categories.
He is ranked second nationally in goals per game with 1.20, and he is ranked eighth in points per game with 2.60.
Lima leads George Mason with 12 goals and 26 points in 10 games, and he is tied for fifth with two assists. His goal and point totals lead the Colonial Athletic Association, and he ranks second in both categories in the South Atlantic Region.
Lima also continues his assault on the George Mason record books. With two goals against Richmond in a 3-2 overtime victory last Tuesday, he tied his career high for goals in a season and scored goals in seven consecutive games, tying the school record set by Colin Kerr in 1982. For his career, Lima ranks second in George Mason history with 116 points, is tied for second in assists with 22, and is third in goals scored with 47. He is the only Patriot to ever have 10 or more goals in each of his four seasons.
