Israeli-Palestinian Issues Discussed Today

A brown bag with Muhammad Abu-Nimer, a professor at American University and an alumni of George Mason, is held today at 2 p.m. Sponsored by the Middle East Working Group and the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR), Abu-Nimer speaks on the recent clashes between Israelis and Palestinians, the underlying issues, the escalation of violence, and the future of the peace process.

Abu-Nimer is a specialist in peace and conflict resolution and has conducted conflict resolution training workshops in Israel, Palestine, Egypt, Turkey, Ireland, Switzerland, Sierra Leone, and the United States. He received his Ph.D. from Mason in 1993 in conflict analysis and resolution, and he teaches at American University in the School of International Services.

The event is free and open to the public in Room 401B of the ICAR building located on Chain Bridge Road. A question and answer session follows. For more information, call x31300.
