Jorge Luis Borges Discussion Held Today

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages, in conjunction with the U.S. Belgrano Society and Hispanic Culture Review, invites the George Mason community to a discussion on Jorge Luis Borges by Maria Kodama today at 6 p.m. The event is held in SUB II, Rooms 5, 6, and 7. A reception follows.

Kodama was Borges’s wife and a close witness of his literary creation. She is the creator and president of the Jorge Luis Borges International Foundation. Kodama has organized numerous exhibits on Borges worldwide, and has translated many of his books. She has been speaking at conferences throughout Europe on a variety of topics, and has received a number of literary prizes and distinctions.
