Wellness by Mason has organized the third annual Happy Heart Walk, a one-mile trek that will occur simultaneously at the Fairfax, Arlington and Prince William Campuses at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The walk is open to the entire campus community. Those who are interested in participating are asked to register online.  Participants may register as individuals, pairs or in groups. The largest group fielded among all three campuses will be awarded the coveted and cuddly Happy Heart Team Award, currently held by Team Arlington.

Fairfax Campus walkers should meet on the Quad in front of Student Union Building I, where Wellness by Mason champion and “Queen of Hearts” Sally Merten will be on hand to cheer on participants.

Those at the Arlington Campus will gather in the lobby of Founders Hall, where “Queen of Hearts” Lori Cohen will lead the walk.

For the Prince William Campus, the meeting point is the Bull Run Hall lobby, where the reigning “King of Hearts” Ron Carmichael will lead participants.

The Happy Heart Walk is the kick-off event to Mason’s Healthy U, a yearlong celebration of wellness, with events sponsored by the Wellness by Mason partners. More information about Healthy U and the Happy Heart walk can be found at the Wellness by Mason website.
