Three members of Mason’s faculty will give an overview of their research at the university’s annual fall convocation, set for Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m. in Harris Theater. The presentations represent the theme of this year’s campuswide meeting: faculty research. Fall convocation is open to all faculty, staff, students and alumni.

The three presenters are Kevin Clark, associate professor of education; Padmanabhan Seshaiyer, associate professor of mathematics; and Cynthia Kierner, professor of history. President Alan Merten and Roger Stough, vice president for research and economic development, will also speak.

The fall convocation provides the campus community with an opportunity to discuss various issues of concern and learn more about the work taking place at Mason. This year’s focus on faculty research is designed to showcase the significant strides the university has made in this area and highlight the work of individual faculty members that is representative of Mason’s emergence as a major research institution.

Refreshments will be served immediately following the convocation.
