Faith Rupert, Physical Plant, has been chosen as October’s employee of the month. Rupert, a resident of Fairfax, has worked in the Physical Plant as the motor pool dispatcher for five years. She is responsible for tracking, scheduling, and dispatching 19 large vans, 11 cars, 3 minivans, and 1 station wagon, all of which provide transportation for George Mason employees. In addition, Rupert maintains all of the Motor Pool’s records and facilitates all of the administrative details.

Rupert says her work is never boring. “I enjoy the challenge of getting the most use out of our resources as I can,” she says.

Rupert received a total of eleven nominations by fellow employees and by employees in other departments, including Human Resources, University Police, and Intercollegiate Athletics.

“She is the model professional–able to handle anything that is thrown her way with ease,” says Paul Kashmer, assistant director of the Physical Plant and Rupert’s supervisor. “Her approach to everything is ‘can-do,’ and her positive attitude and routine support are irreplaceable and greatly appreciated.”
