The following information was provided by Auxiliary Enterprises.

College Colors Day is nationally organized by our partner, the Collegiate Licensing Co., and was first celebrated in 2005. It always falls on the Friday before Labor Day, and this year is celebrated on Friday, Sept. 2.

College Colors Day seeks to celebrate and promote the spirit that makes college traditions great by encouraging students, faculty, staff and alumni to wear apparel of their favorite college.

On Sept. 2 at noon, all are invited to gather at the George Mason statue on the North Plaza for a group photograph to produce our first We Are Mason postcard. Show the world your spirit and pride. Wear green and gold and be a part of College Colors Day!

The celebration will also kick off Spirit Fridays at Mason, which are observed throughout the academic year. Every Friday, Mason students, alumni, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear Mason gear at work, at school or at play to show their Patriot Pride.
