For the second time this season, George Mason senior forward Eduardo Lima has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men’s soccer Player of the Week. He also earned the achievement on Sept. 5, during the inaugural week of the 2000 season and it is the fifth time (once each in 1996, 1997, and 1998) he has been honored in his career.
Lima played well last week, scoring a goal in each game as George Mason earned victories on the road over George Washington University (3-2 in overtime Wednesday) and East Carolina University (3-1 Sunday). The two wins lifted the Patriots to 6-2 overall, and the victory over East Carolina left George Mason with a 1-0 mark in the CAA.

He is tied for 11th nationally in points per game with 2.5, and he is tied for 12th in goals per game with 1.13. Lima leads George Mason with nine goals and 20 points in eight games, and he is tied for third with in assists. His goal and point totals lead the CAA, and he is tied for the South Atlantic Region lead in both categories.
