Faculty and staff members in the School of Management (SOM) recently established the Zygmunt and Jane Domzal Scholarship for students who are immigrants or first-generation children of immigrants. The scholarship is named for the parents of SOM dean Teresa Domzal.
The Domzals died recently, within three months of one another. According to SOM professors, “Dean Domzal was very close to her parents. Because of the faculty’s great personal and professional respect for Dean Domzal, her loss generated an outpouring of sympathy that resulted in the establishment of the scholarship.”
Anyone wanting to contribute may write a check to the GMU Foundation. Note on the check that it is in memory of Zygmunt and Jane Domzal. Those wishing to contribute via payroll deduction may contact Kira Benitz, director of the Annual Fund, at x38688.
