Old Town Hall Lecture Features Special Panel Discussion

Four George Mason professors are featured in a special panel discussion at the next Old Town Hall lecture on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m. The topic is “From Preparation to Celebration: The Many Aspects of Death and Dying.” Lloyd Cohen, School of Law, will discuss selling transplant organs for pleasure and profit; Jim Fletcher, Philosophy and Religious Studies, will talk about healthcare ethics; Ann Palkovich, Sociology and Anthropology, will explain cultural and ritual differences; and Norman Stanhope, Psychology, will discuss the grieving process and local resources.

The lecture is held on the second floor of Old Town Hall, at the corner of University Drive and Main Street in the City of Fairfax. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments are provided.
