Celebrations Planned Today for Patriot’s Day

The Program Board has planned a fun-filled day for the George Mason community today to celebrate Patriot’s Day. The day begins at 10 a.m. on the Quad and doesn’t end until 9 p.m. tonight in the Johnson Center Cinema.
Kicking off the morning is the Student Involvement Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. where information is provided about student organizations, jobs on campus, and other student services. Also at 10 a.m., games begin across the Quad, including, the bungee run, joust, bouncy boxing, obstacle course, and the moonwalk. From 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., several bands will perform, including Latch Key, Last One Standing, Practically Einstein, The Hypnotix, and the JCJ Band. Free funnel cakes, snow cones, and cotton candy are also available during the afternoon.
From 4 to 6 p.m., students can get their questions answered about love, sex, and relationships during Loveline at GMU. Submit questions early in SUB I, Room 252 B, or the tent at the North Plaza. Campus Networks, Greek Life, the Program Board, and Health Education Services sponsor the event.
The day ends with two showings of the movie Friday at 6 and 9 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema.
