Dining Services Provides Alternative Food Service

George Mason Dining Services is making alternative food service arrangements, as approved by the Fairfax County Health Department, today through August 18 during the university’s domestic hot water shut-off. The following units will be operational:

  • Bistro South Plaza Grill is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring grilled sandwiches, grab ‘n go sandwiches and salads, and more. Seating is available in the Bistro. The Bistro Grill will open Friday if the hot water service has not resumed.

  • Starbucks’ Coffee Cart in the University Bookstore is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Johnson Center Express is open the same hours as the Johnson Center. Grab ‘n go sandwiches and salads are available, in addition to bottled beverages and snacks.

  • Ciao Hall is open Monday through Friday, 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m., for a conference group, but university customers are also welcome.

All food items are served with disposable containers, plates, and utensils during this time. For more information, contact Dining Services at x33300.
