Roundtable Discussions Air on GMU-TV

Every week on GMU-TV, three roundtable discussion television programs–Mason Currents, Capital Region Roundtable, and Time Out–are shown during primetime. GMU-TV is shown on Cox Cable channel 18, Comcast (Reston) channel 18, and Comcast (Alexandria) channels 79 and 95. Following are the topics, hosts, guests, and programming schedule for each show airing this week:

  • I. Mason Currents #6 – “Student Organizations, Activities, & Programs

    (S.O.A.P.)”
    is hosted by Star Muir, Department of Instructional Improvements and Instructional Technologies faculty member. Guests include Mark Kidd, associate dean for University Life; Darrell Peterson, assistant director of Student Activities; Seann Kalagher, chair of the Council of Student Umbrellas; and Roya Ali, chair of the Academic Empowerment Umbrella. The show airs on Tuesday and Friday 11:30 p.m., Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and Sunday at 8 p.m.

  • Capital Region Roundtable #33 – “Internet Privacy & Protection” is hosted by Toni-Michelle Travis, Public and International Affairs faculty member. Guests include Sushil Jajodia, director of the Center the Secure Information Systems; Hank Philcox, vice president and CEO of DynCorp; and Dana Rosenfeld, assistant director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commision. The show airs tonight and Thursday at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday at 8 p.m., Friday and Sunday at 8:30 p.m., and Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

  • Time Out #4 – “Strength & Conditioning” is hosted by Mike Tapscott, former director of Minority Student Affairs. Guests include Robert Handerahan, strength and conditioning coordinator for the Athletics Department, and Eduardo Lima, men’s soccer team member. The show airs on Wednesday at 11:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
