At its meeting on March 23, Mason’s Board of Visitors (BOV) approved an increase in tuition and fees for summer 2011 over the current 2010-11 academic year rates.
The increases are as follows:
- 7 percent increase for in-state undergraduates and graduates
- 6 percent increase for out-of-state undergraduates and graduates
- 7 percent increase for in-state law students
- 6 percent increase for out-of-state law students
Because the university budget for fiscal year 2012 has not yet been finalized, the rates for the 2011-12 year could differ from the summer rates. The final tuition and fee rates for the next academic year will be set at the May BOV meeting.
The BOV also approved the title of Associate Professor Emerita of Nursing for Loretta Normile, who recently retired, and accepted the resignation of President Alan Merten, effective June 30, 2012 (see separate article).
