Faculty Senate to Hold Special Meetings

The Faculty Senate will hold two special meetings in the coming weeks.

The first is a meeting to consider revisions to the Faculty Handbook on Wednesday, March 23, at 3 p.m. in Robinson Hall B, Room 113. The agenda for this meeting is online. Suggested changes to the handbook are also listed on the Faculty Senate website.

A second special meeting will feature representatives to the Virginia General Assembly, Sen. Chap Petersen and Delegate David Bulova. Peterson and Bulova represent the legislative districts where Mason’s Fairfax Campus is located. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 20, in Robinson Hall B, Room 113, at 3 p.m.

The agenda for this meeting will be distributed on April 13. If you have questions for the representatives, please send them to Meg Caniano, senate clerk, at (facsen@gmu.edu) or MS 5E5 by Monday, April 11.

The Committee on External Academic Relations will organize the questions before they are sent to the representatives in advance of the meeting. Questions can be submitted anonymously, and the questioner will also remain anonymous.

All members of the university community are welcome to attend senate meetings.
