Foundation Board of Trustees Members Elected

David Boyer Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of TROY Systems, Inc., has been re-elected chairman of the board of trustees of the George Mason University Foundation for a second one-year term, effective July 1. During its annual meeting held recently, the board also re-elected for a second term vice chairman Lovey Hammel, president, EEI, Inc.; treasurer Carson Lee Fifer Jr., partner, McGuire, Woods, Battle & Boothe; and secretary Paul Kyle, president, King Wholesale, Inc.
Boyer previously served as foundation vice chairman and treasurer and has been a trustee since 1994. He and the board work closely with Judy Jobbitt, foundation president and vice president for university development and alumni affairs, to assist the university in generating, managing, investing, and administering private support.
Newly elected board trustees are Sidney Dewberry, managing partner, Dewberry & Davis; Donald de Laski, chairman, Deltek Systems, Inc.; Barbara Fried, chairman, Fried Companies, Inc.; and Charles (Bee) Smith Jr., retired real estate developer. Dewberry and Fried are former chairmen of the foundation.
Elected to a second term are Katherine Clark, president and chief executive officer, Landmark Systems Corp.; Albert Dwoskin, chief executive officer and president, A. J. Dwoskin & Associates, Inc.; James Hazel, senior vice president, Weber McGinn; Alan Meltzer, president, Meltzer & Associates; Olza Nicely, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer, GEICO; and Roger Silk, president, Trafalgar Group.
Elected as trustees emeriti are Coleman Raphael, retired chief executive officer of Atlantic Research Corp., and John Toups, retired president and chief executive officer of PRC, Inc.
