AWP Annual Conference and Bookfair to Be Held in Washington, D.C.

Mason’s MFA in Creative Writing is one of the major sponsors of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) Annual Conference and Bookfair to be held in Washington, D.C., Feb. 2–5.

The conference features 380 events that include panel discussions on the art of writing; tributes to esteemed authors; interviews with writers; poetry, fiction and nonfiction readings; and discussions for teachers of creative writing. Five hundred literary publishers will also exhibit their recent titles at the conference.

The conference will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Sessions run from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day. Onsite registration for all three days of the conference is $245; one-day passes and member discounts are also available. Registration is $45 for students with a valid student ID.
