Posted: October 6, 2010 at 1:03 am, Last Updated: October 6, 2010 at 8:17 am
The Office of the Provost will sponsor a forum on the academic state of Mason at the Arlington, Fairfax and Prince William campuses.
The forum will provide an opportunity for exchange and questions between Provost Peter Stearns or relevant members of his staff and the university community. Initial remarks at this forum will focus on strategic metrics as put forth in conjunction with the Board of Visitors; enrollment issues; budget and budget prospects; and the university’s next steps related to Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) reaccreditation.
Discussion may include these topics and others brought forth by audience members. Questions and comments will be welcome, as the forums are intended to be mutually instructive exchanges.
The forums will not be videoconferenced, as the Provost will conduct a forum at each of the campuses as follows:
- Arlington Campus — Wednesday, Oct. 27, 10 to 11 a.m., Original Building, Room 244
- Fairfax Campus — Wednesday, Nov. 3, noon to 1 p.m., Johnson Center Cinema
- Prince William Campus — Thursday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. to noon, Occoquan Building, Room 110H
