The Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) Honor Society and the Golden Key (GK) International Honor Society at Mason will work together on Thursday, Sept. 23, and Friday, Sept. 24, to help collect monetary donations for the relief effort in Pakistan.

According to faculty advisor Donna Fox, associate dean in the Office for Academic Integrity, each of the honor societies will match the funds collected. Each will then send a check for that amount to Pakistan relief funds through UNICEF (from ALD) and the American Red Cross (ARC).

On Sept. 23, students will be accepting donations (cash or check made out to UNICEF or ARC) in the Johnson Center, Kiosk B, from 1 to 4 pm. On Sept. 24, the students will be accepting donations in the Johnson Center, Kiosk F, from noon to 4 p.m.

For more information, contact the president of GK, Nader Hussein, or the president of ALD, Tim Higashi.

In addition, the Pakistan Student Association (PSA) is collecting money.  For more information, contact the PSA president, Israr Mirza.
