Nominations for the following awards are due in Human Resources by May 26:

  • Outstanding Performance Award–Given for performance beyond the scope of defined duties over a period of at least 12 months, this award results in a one-step, within-grade increase for classified employees and a 2.25-percent pay increase for administrative and professional faculty. The award is centrally budgeted and does not impact the department’s budget.

  • Exemplary Performance Award–Given for exemplary performance beyond the scope of defined duties for a period of at least six months, this award results in a one-time monetary award not to exceed 2.25 percent of an employee’s annual salary or $1,000, whichever is the lesser amount. This award also is centrally funded and is open to administrative and professional faculty as well as classified employees.

  • Quality Customer Service Award–This award is open to all employees and students. Criteria include exceptional initiative in going the extra mile to provide service to internal and external customers with timely and appropriate follow-up; responsiveness to the needs of students, patrons, or customers; and demonstrated improvement of customer service and satisfaction. The winner receives a personal plaque and certificate, a $500 savings bond, and a large plaque engraved with his/her name for display in the department.

All of these awards are presented at a ceremony in July. Forms are available on the Human Resources website under “Forms and Materials.” For more information, call x32739.
