A memorial to Wallace Warfield, retired associate professor in the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR) who died last Saturday, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28.

Warfield’s family and his ICAR colleagues extend a warm invitation to gather at Point of View, a place he loved, located at 7301 Old Spring Drive, Lorton, Va.

A reception will be held at 4 p.m., followed by the memorial program, which begins promptly at 5 p.m.

The Wallace Warfield Scholarship for Practice has been established as an expression of appreciation for Warfield’s own expertise as a practitioner and his exceptional commitment to students. The scholarship will support students interested in building expertise in the practice of conflict analysis and resolution.

Those wishing to donate to the scholarship fund and to remember him in other ways are encouraged to visit the ICAR website for additional information, including directions to Point of View.

Those planning to attend the memorial should RSVP to w2memorial@gmail.com.
