In its latest “America’s Best College Buys,” Forbes.com ranks Mason 68th on its top 100 list.
Noting that rapidly increasing tuition and fees are a matter of concern to college students and their parents, Forbes undertook a financial analysis of colleges in its “America’s Best Colleges” study. To come up with a ranking, Forbes divided each school’s overall quality score by its “average sticker price tuition and fees for 2008.”
On Forbes’ overall “Best Colleges” list of more than 600 undergraduate institutions, Mason was ranked 297. According to Forbes, the college and university rankings are based on “the quality of the education they provide, the experiences of the students and how much they achieve.”
