Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and organized by the Biology and Physics and Astronomy Departments, this year’s Earth Day celebration has a special focus on solar and renewable energy use, and the use of energy efficient technology that makes our planet cleaner.

Solar demonstrations, including solar-powered equipment and weather stations, dialogues with specialists, an energy-focused Jeopardy game show, a photovoltaic quiz with prizes, and an excursion to the George Mason solar installation at the university pond take place on Monday, April 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Events are held on the plaza between the Johnson Center and Robinson Hall.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend and contribute their ideas about how to promote clean energy technology that protects our environment.
