Center for Teaching Excellence to Hold Workshop for New Faculty Members

“Teaching at Mason: Strategies for Success” is the title of a free, pre-semester workshop sponsored by the Center for Teaching Excellence and offered in two formats.

  • Full day: Thursday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Research I, Room 163 (lunch provided; RSVP by Aug. 12)
  • Half day: Thursday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon in Mason Hall, Edwin Meese III Conference Room

Some topics to be covered include writing a syllabus, managing a classroom, effective assessment, navigating Mason and strategies for facilitating students’ learning.
