Last year, to rev up the Mason Spirit among incoming students, the Welcome Week Committee held Mason’s first and highly successful T-Shirt Swap. Students showed up early to get the best pick of Mason T-shirts and traded a shirt from their high school days or another college.
The four boxes of shirts collected from students were donated to The Salvation Army, where many were sold to raise money for their charities in the community.
Many offices around campus have boxes of unused T-shirts left over from various Mason events. Unworn donated shirts are what make this event special. The Office of Student Activities, located in Student Union Building I, Room 101, will accept new Mason shirt donations throughout the summer until Aug. 16.
The T-Shirt Swap will take place on Thursday, Sept. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m.
