Mason Recreation Resolution Solution Fitness Challenge Results Announced

Mason Recreation thanks faculty and staff members for participating in this year’s 12-week Resolution Solution Fitness Challenge.

Twenty-eight teams involving more than 300 people participated.

Below are the teams that scored milestones during the challenge.

Highest Weekly Average Total for “Fitness Miles”
1st Place,  Arlington Campus Library:  396.5
2nd Place, The Pound Droppers:  373
3rd Place, Gobstoppers:  370

These teams will receive various levels of fitness membership to Mason Recreation.

Division Highest Total “Fitness Miles”
9 or fewer participants,  Honors College: 2058.0
10-15 participants, Trim Slim and Dedicated (TSD): 2311.5
16 or more participants, Office of Housing and Residence Life: 5491.5

These teams will receive a two-hour block of court space at the Recreation and Athletic Complex. Basketball, volleyball, badminton, futsal, indoor soccer, dodgeball or any permitted sport or nonsport activity can be played in the space. Teams can use this as an office retreat, team building opportunity or simply a reward for their job well done. Scheduling of the prize will be subject to availability.

Participants can continue their fitness and wellness team goals by following the Wellness by Mason fitness model and program. The program will be offered again next year. In the meantime, if you have a success story to share as a result of the challenge, contact Guy Curtis in Mason Recreation.
