Donna Kidd to Retire; Gil Brown to Head Office of Budget and Planning

Donna Kidd, associate vice president for budget and planning in the Office of Budget and Planning, will retire at the end of May after 24 years at Mason.

Kidd came to Mason in 1986 as a budget analyst. She received an MPA from Mason in 1994.

For the past 20 years she has headed the Office of Budget and Planning, and for many years also headed the Office of Institutional Research and Reporting.

Gil Brown, currently director of budget and financial planning, will become chief budget officer for the Office of Budget and Planning. Brown joined Mason in 2006. Prior to working at Mason, he held positions as chief budget officer at Oregon State University, Georgetown University and Rice University.
