Are you close to retirement? A free pilot course called “The Next Chapter: Life in Retirement,” begins on Friday, May 7, and will help steer you successfully into the next chapter of your life.
A person’s career has given them social contact, recognition, a daily routine and a chance to be productive. This seminar series will give you the tools to create a successful retirement plan that may fulfill many of these same needs.
Unlike the traditional retirement class that focuses on legal and financial issues, these classes will explore other aspects of your life in retirement, including personal resources, attitudes, preferences, motivation, skills and interests. The goal is to assist you in creating a unique individual plan to stay healthy, active and connected to family, friends and community.
The pilot course at Mason will be held on the four Fridays in May (7, 14, 21 and 28) in Enterprise Hall, Room 418, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The instructors are Jeanette Muir, Lois Tetrick and Patrice Winter. To register, visit the HR training web site and click on the Courses tab.
