Mason is included in the new free guidebook titled “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges,” which is published in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Mason was cited as one of the nation’s colleges and universities “that have demonstrated an above average commitment to sustainability activities and initiatives,” according to The Princeton Review’s announcement.
Mason’s “green” profile can be found in Part 2 of the guide online.
The review chose the schools included in its guide based on the “green rating” scores the schools received in the summer of 2009 when the review published its online college profiles and/or annual college guidebooks.
Of 697 schools that The Princeton Review gave “green ratings” to in 2009, the 286 schools in the guide received scores in the 80th or higher percentile.
USA Today also ran a feature about the guide in the April 20 print edition and online.
