ICAR Professor Discusses Conflict Transformation

Christopher Mitchell of the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR) speaks on “Beyond Resolution: What Does Conflict Transformation Really Transform?” at a brown bag lecture on Thursday, March 23, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The lecture takes place in the main conference room at ICAR, located at 4260 Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax.
Mitchell is Druscilla French Cumbie Professor for Conflict Resolution, and former director of ICAR. He has written extensively on international mediation and peace-making processes, major ethno-nationalist conflicts, and the termination of protracted conflicts. In addition, he has served as a consultant and facilitator on conflicts in Northern Ireland, Spain, Cyprus, Transcaucasia, the Middle East, and Africa.
