Enterprise Center Offers Training for Corporate Directors

On Tuesday, June 6, the Mason Enterprise Center conducts Boot Camp for Directors, designed to provide corporate board members and potential corporate board members of entrepreneurial companies with the vocabulary, process, tools, rules, and perspective necessary for serving as corporate director of a fast-paced entrepreneurial firm.
The program is moderated by Chuck Stein, president of Stein Venture Management, Inc., which specializes in serving as mentors to entrepreneurs and advising boards of directors of early-stage technology start-up companies. Stein serves on the boards of six early-stage entrepreneurial firms. Before forming Stein Venture Management, he was the president and CEO of Netrix Corp., a developer, manufacturer, and leading supplier of wide area network switching products.
Other faculty in the Boot Camp for Directors program are Jonathan Aberman of Pilsbury, Madison, and Sutro; Henry Barratt of Blue Water Capital; Robert E. Gregg of Reed, Smith, Hazel, and Thomas; John Sanders of JohnSanders.com; Hooks Johnston of FBR Technology Venture Partners; Jonathan Shames of Ernst & Young; and Kyp Sirinakis of WomenAngels.net.
