As a course assignment for this semester, students in COMM 330, Principles of Public Relations, work for Legal Services of Northern Virginia (LSNV). LSNV is a nonprofit organization that provides free, high-quality civil legal services for low-income, elderly or disabled individuals, as well as educational lectures for students.
As part of their class, the students have organized a free event for Mason students and faculty and staff members titled “How Not to Buy a Car.” The lecture will be presented by LSNV attorney Q. Russell Hatchl, who will discuss how to avoid a bad credit rating when you finance a car purchase.
The event will be held on Monday, April 19, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Research I, Room 163, on the Fairfax Campus (check-in begins at 4:30 p.m.).
