The Faculty Senate Library Committee announces the competition for the 2000-2001 Fenwick Fellowship Program. The competition is open to all faculty members at George Mason, including part-time, restricted, and others teaching for the university. This year’s recipients were Ann Palkovich, Sociology and Anthropology, and Willem Thorbecke, Economics.
The fellowship provides a $1,500 stipend and a nicely furnished research office equipped with a telephone, desk, and computer with Internet access in Fenwick Library. The stipend supports research costs such as copying, book purchases, support for research assistants, or other support necessary to carry out the project. Applicants for the fellowship are asked to submit a proposal which describes the research project and indicates how office space in the library and additional funding will support the project.
The deadline for applications is April 7, and the results will be announced in early May. For application guidelines and an online application form, visit the Fenwick Fellowship website. For more information, contact Lene Palmer, University Libraries, x32223 or email@example.com.
