Health and Fitness Expo Comes to Fairfax and Prince William Campuses

The 14th Annual Health and Fitness Expo, sponsored by University Life in partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Aetna Student Health, will be held Thursday, April 1, at the Fairfax Campus, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Center Dewberry Hall.

The Prince William Campus Expo will be held on Thursday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Bull Run Hall.

Dozens of community and on-campus exhibitors will provide health information on nutrition, exercise, stress management, alternative therapies and healthy self-care practices.

The expo will feature interactive health education activities, participatory demonstrations, health screenings, fitness instruction and physical challenges.

Stop by to learn strength-training techniques from the Aquatic and Fitness Center, cheer on teams in the Mason Top Chef cook-off, practice your swing moves with Gotta Swing, or take a second to do the downward dog with Sun and Moon Yoga Studio.

The following health screening opportunities will be available at the Health and Fitness Expo:

  • Cholesterol
  • Blood glucose
  • Blood pressure
  • Vision
  • Body Mass Index
  • Osteoporosis
  • Oral, rapid HIV testing
