Death Day, on Wednesday, March 8, acknowledges the tragedy that alcohol and other drugs can cause and is a highlight of Safe Spring Break, held March 6 to 10. Motivational speaker Bobby Petrocelli presents “Triumph over Tragedy” on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Harris Theater. He uses the true story of his wife being killed by a drunk driver to relay his messages of “how one decision can change your life forever” and “how one can triumph over any tragedy.”
Other activities during the week of Safe Spring Break include giveaways today through Thursday at the Johnson Center Kiosk from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also today, from noon to 1 p.m. at the kiosk, University Police presents “Safety Tips for a Safe Break.”
Safe Spring Break is sponsored by Drug Education Services, the Program Board, and BACCHUS/GAMMA. For more information, contact Nancy Schulte at x33687.
