The atmosphere was festive and the air full of excitement as Lot L filled with students, alumni, faculty, staff, and their families and friends for George Mason’s second annual homecoming block party on Saturday.
“We are thrilled with the turnout this year,” says Chris Clark-Talley, director of Alumni Affairs. “We had four times the number of people that came last year, and everyone had a wonderful time. I think the idea is really starting to catch on.”
Block partygoers were entertained with a screaming contest, face painting, music by Z-104, giveaways, and a parade led by Gunston, complete with police escorts. The Patriots went on to beat rival James Madison University 76-64 (see following story).
