Each year, the Spirit of King Award is given to one student and one faculty or staff member who has made exceptional contributions to the development of a multicultural campus community.

The Office of Diversity Programs and Services, as well as the campuswide committee on the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, considers each nomination.

The winner will be announced at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Evening of Reflection on Thursday, Jan 28.

Nominations for the 2010 Spirit of King Awards are open now and are due Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010. Applications are available on the Office of Diversity Programs and Services web site.
