George Mason’s chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) hosts a fashion show on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 8 p.m. in the Johnson Center Multipurpose Room. AMA expects 500 to 600 people to attend the two-hour runway show, “Celebrate Diversity in the Millennium.”
Local clothing retailers have donated their time, employees, and clothing to help AMA reach its goals. Among the businesses who have contributed are Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren, Jessica McClintock, United Colors of Benetton, Guess?, Up Against the Wall, CG2 & Gear Co., and Da Da.
AMA began planning and organizing this fashion show last October. A portion of the proceeds will go to the New Voice Club, which is part of the American Cancer Society.
During intermission, Phase Pham and Darcity will perform live, prizes will be handed out, and refreshments will be served. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. For more information, visit the AMA website.
