George Mason Celebrates Healthy Relationships Week

Activities for Healthy Relationships Week get underway today with a healthy relationship quiz at the kiosk in the Johnson Center Food Court between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Those who fill out the quiz receive a free carnation. As part of the celebration, candy and pens will be distributed between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the kiosk on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Marty Langelan, a specialist in assertiveness training from Washington, D.C., presents “How to Make Relationships Work: Assertively Discuss Difficult Topics with People Who Matter” at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, in the Johnson Center, Room 240.
On Thursday, Feb. 17, at noon, Nancy Harrington, a Fairfax County specialist in healthy relationships, presents a brown bag discussion, “Healthy Relationships: It Takes Two, Baby–Me and You,” in the Johnson Center, Room 240. During the entire week, a raffle for a book drawing is held at the Johnson Center kiosk. The book drawing will be held at the end of the brown bag discussion with Harrington.
