Biology Department Announces Upcoming Lectures

Mitchell Sogin, director of the Joseph Bay Paul Center for Comparative Molecular Biology and Evolution at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Massachusetts, is the guest speaker on Wednesday, Feb. 9, as part of the Biology Department’s distinguished lecture series. “What Molecular Evolution Has to Say about Our Ancestral Roots” is the title of this free lecture, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in the back of the ballroom in SUB II .

On Thursday, Feb. 10, Sogin gives a second lecture, “Broken Limbs and Net-Like Structures in the Tree of Life,” at noon at the ATCC building in Manassas, directly across from the main entrance of the Prince William Campus.
