As part of a new speakers bureau, members of the Women’s Advisory Board now are available to speak to faculty members’ classes free of charge.

The Women’s Advisory Board consists of women leaders in Northern Virginia who support the university and act as role models in the areas of business, engineering, science, and technology. Topics in the speakers bureau range from how businesses get started and women in corporate America to environmental risk assessment and childbirth as a life-changing event. Two recent additions to the topic list are “Women in Legal Careers” and “Overcoming the Backlash: How Women Succeed in Business.”

For more information or to schedule a speaker for your class, contact Traci Claar in the Community Relations Office at x38446 or tclaar@gmu.edu.
