Helping to find a cure for breast cancer is as easy as saving your Yoplait yogurt lid.
Until Dec. 8, the Mason chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority is collecting lids that will raise money to be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, which aims to find a cure for breast cancer. The organization has a collection box in the Johnson Center on the Fairfax Campus, right across from the information desk.
Yoplait usually offers 10 cents per lid, says ZTA representative Victoria Kalnitzky. However, for this program, it is donating an additional 5 cents per lid, bringing the total to 15 cents.
All are encouraged to bring their washed lids to the Johnson Center collection box.
