TIPP Announces Colloquium Series for February

The Institute of Public Policy (TIPP) presents its colloquium series on Thursdays in the Johnson Center, Room E, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Following is the schedule for this month:

  • Feb. 3– Gloria Guttierez, marketing director for the U.S. Census Bureau, speaks on the 2000 census.

  • Feb. 10–Ivan King, visiting professor at the National Science Foundation, presents “Religious Considerations of Peace Operations: Role of the Military Chaplain.”

  • Feb. 17–Frank Fukuyama, Hirst Chair of Public Policy and director of George Mason’s International Commerce and Policy Program, speaks on his book, The Great Disruption: Human Nature and the Reconstitution of Social Order.

  • Feb. 24–Danilo Pelletiere, a George Mason Ph.D. student and research associate, presents “Does the Internet Complement or Substitute for Regional External Economies? Questions and Methodology.”
