Did you know that Mason is participating in the America’s Greenest Campus contest? It’s the first nationwide competition to get colleges and universities to reduce their carbon footprints.

Mason’s Office of Sustainability is urging the Mason community to participate. Right now Mason is in second place with more than 1,600 people participating, but the University of Maryland is ahead by 400 people. If Mason can catch up and win the contest, we can win up to $20,000. There are only 16 days left in the contest.

You can help by going to americasgreenestcampus.com and registering with your Mason (gmu.edu) e-mail address. The whole process should take less than two minutes. Please be sure to open the confirmation e-mail that you receive and click on the link.
